Breezemount Farm is a small holding situated one mile from the historic town of Donaghadee on the east coast of County Down, in Northern Ireland. The farm overlooks the Copeland Islands and is a mere 20 miles across the sea from Port Patrick on the west coast of Scotland.
Bill and Helen Brown have been breeding and showing pedigree Angora Goats for many years. Since Bill’s retirement from teaching they have created a very successful Mohair Sock and Knitwear business.
Seven years ago they started a homemade jam and marmalade business and are currently producing over 30,000 jars per year. Much of the fruit used for the jam is grown on the farm.
Helen, when she is not teaching, looks after the knitwear side of the business and Bill is responsible for making all the jams and marmalades. Their plans for the near future include adding chutneys and marinades to their extensive list of quality foods.
To quote from the brochure ‘The news of our jams and marmalades is spreading!! Great looking jams and marmalades with that genuine old style taste. Country farm, country fruit, country recipes and country taste.’
In both our knitwear and preserves our proud boast is ‘Quality and Service.’
